I am so excited to be writing this blog on my favorite food in the whole wide world! STEAK!!! I love a good steak and since I am trying to discover restaurants I have never been to in my home town, I had to stop by Anthony's Steak & Seafood!
Anthony's Steak & Seafood is located in Shreveport, LA. I'll list the address and details at the end of this post. It is located in an older part of town, not known to be one of the best areas, but it is in a safe location. So you don't need to worry about safety. The parking lot could definitely use a little improvement on space, but it is a nice and quaint place, so it is suitable.
We were warmly greeted by Ricky the cat. He hangs around the front, so don't be spooked...he's a really cute and nice little fella, and he has a twin sister! I am such a "cat person" so I felt very welcomed! This may be a positive or negative for some people, so it just depends on the person.
Upon entering, we were seated quickly, right away in fact because we visited during lunch hours. Lunch lasts from 11am-2pm Monday - Friday. Their lunch menu can be found on the website.
Our waitress was very polite and she took our order right away. The salad bar was included with lunch, so we helped ourselves to the deliciousness that lay before us...
I especially loved this mixture of mushrooms, onions, and green bell peppers tossed in a vinaigrette sauce.
After having our salads, lunch was served , I had the Rib-eye with fries and my guest had Sautéed New Orleans Shrimp atop Rice with greens and cornbread on the side.
Freshly baked bread with whipped butter was served along with our entrees, and I absolutely loved every morsel of everything that I tasted!!!
The Ribeye was cooked and seasoned to perfection! I ordered my steak medium well this time ( I usually do medium) but I wanted to be on the safe side. It was juicy and delectable nevertheless! It was seasoned SO well that I had asked the waitress for A-1 and Louisiana Hot Sauce and ended up using neither! The fries....are some of the best! Fried to a crispy golden brown, soft on the inside, just like they should be...
My guest really enjoyed the meal and said that the greens were some of the best ever!
After we completely cleaned our plates, we gave our compliments to Chef Anthony! He is a very kind and hospitable person, we spoke for a while and I told him about my blog! If you read this Chef Anthony, post your comment below!!! HEYYYYY!
Here are a few more photos inside the dining room area, this place is very classy. It's the type of place you want to take your Valentine! They have plenty of intimate booths that are great for spending quality time with that special someone!
They also have a vast wine and spirits collection! I didn't have the opportunity to try the drinks because I kept it light...
Anthony also has a Formal Dining Room area for event hosting! So if you have a business, church, or personal event coming up, it's the perfect upscale place to show out and have fabulous food!
Overall, we had a fabulous experience at Anthony's Steak & Seafood and will be coming back weekly for the fab and afforadable lunch menu, the great atmosphere, and the southern hospitality!
