The NOLA Experience

Hello Sexy Sirens!

Happy New Year!!!!! It's now officially 2015 which means the beginning of a clean slate! You have a whole new opportunity, 365 fresh new days, to either make things happen or fuck it up all over again! Please don't choose the latter.... This year I have decided to enjoy my life more. A lot of the time we get so wrapped up in the pressures and responsibilities of life, especially those of us with a family and children of our own. We often forget to LIVE and not just breathe, between helping with homework, working that 9-5 , putting food on the table for the hubby, and taking the kids to their weekly activities, we have a lot on our plates and it can be stressful, taking away the joy of it all. We have to learn that even while doing those necessary tasks, we can still find joy in little things. Set aside time for you and your family to just enjoy life.

Even though I have been to New Orleans a thousand times over, I usually just go to visit my family members, chill at their house, maybe go out to eat or something, and then leave or go to an acting audition and then leave. I go there, I breathe there....I turnaround, I go home, I breathe at home...I'm tired of just breathing , I want to LIVE! So this time I decided that I wanted my son and my mother to experience New Orleans. for once, like my son NEVER has and like my mom hasn't in YEARS. That is just what we did this time!  We LIVED!

Thrift Shop Challenge look #3

Hello Sexy Sirens,

I'm excited to share Look #3 from the "Thrift Shop Challenge", I feel like it's taking me FOREVER to complete it! I will do two more thrift looks and then I am done! Don't worry though, because I will still bring you affordable looks that make you look like a billion bucks without breaking the bank!

So here is the look I put together, the top and jeans together cost $23! Can you believe it!? The coat I forgot how much I paid for it because I bought it a few years ago. The shoes don't count for the challenge.

Top: Goodwill for $4 , I got really creative with it because I made it into a knotted crop by cutting the bottom up to the middle and tying the ends together.

Jeans: By Cello "High Waist Skinny Faded Light Wash" $19, , they are having an awesome sale right now so check out the site!

Jacket; by Mixit , it is a 1980's Genuine Rabbit Fur Bomber Jacket, I purchased it from my favorite consignment shop in Shreveport,LA "New to You" , once a year they have an event where they get lots of genuine furs that come in. You may be able to catch it if you are in the area!  Here are similar styles you can purchase:

Hope you enjoyed this outfit of the day! Please Follow my blog and my other social media account by clicking the links below!

So Necessary....

Hello Sexy Sirens,

I believe that having simple pieces in your wardrobe is essential to great style! I used to be the type that wanted everything I wore to be loud, flamboyant, and over the top! I wore lots of color and anything that was bling, I had to have it! Now, I'm not saying that there is anything wrong with wearing colors and being colorful, if that is your way of expression then by all means, carry on! For me personally, I realized that a balance is best! I never realized how important neutral colors were in adding balance and sophistication.

Highlighter Craze!!!

Hey Sexy Sirens!!!

I have a major obsession with Highlighters! They make the whole look! When you have a great highlighter, it appears as if your skin radiates a perfect glow that only celebrities don! You can have the look perfected too, no matter what skin tone you have! Here are a few of my absolute favorite highlighters that are affordable and NOT limited editions. (Because I HATE when someone brags about a Limited Edition highlighter knowing damn well I can't get my hands on it for under a million bucks!)

I decided to wear this ultra chic sweater that I purchased from , which has now become one of my favorite stores!

Black Friday Swag

Hello Sexy Sirens!!!

Happy belated Thanksgiving!!! I am feeling stuffed as I write this from having more food today. I really enjoyed spending Thanksgiving with my family, watching football, and snapping pics! I usually don't cook on any normal days, but for Thanksgiving and Christmas I like to break out my special skills lol! I made my world famous Candied Yams with pecan and marshmallow topping & did a Broccoli Cheese Chicken Casserole . Everything was sooooo delicious!

Thrift Shop Challenge - look #1

Hey Sexy Sirens,

So a few weeks ago, a friend of mine challenged me to find a few inexpensive celebrity looks. The person I had chosen was Rihanna because everyone knows her style is impeccable. She is daring, bold, and doesn't give a f____. I like that!

My looks were supposed to be posted daily for a week ( 7 days) , but because I have to schedule these looks to be shot professionally, I decided to do one look weekly instead. The first look inspiration was this dress here ;

Gerard Cosmetics Lipstick Lovers Guide

Hello Sexy Sirens!

Last week I purchased a 5 lipstick bundle from because I wanted to see what all the hype was about with these lipsticks!

I've always been a lipgloss kinda girl...I just recently fell in love with matte lipsticks. The thing that I did not like about lipsticks before was the fact that they made my lips VERY dry! I've always had a problem with chapped peeling lips, so that is why glosses always worked for me. With these lipsticks my lips are actually smoother!

The formula is so creamy and smooth! They hydrate my lips and gives a perfect matte finish! I absolutely am a lipstick lover because of these, creamy sticks of goodness! Let's talk about the's luxurious and eye catching! The Gold packaging is what really sold me on these because it's very classy and unique. Although I would have rather that they were made of real metal so it would be more durable and feel like a piece of art to be collected. These lipstick cases are plastic, yet they do not feel or look "cheap".  The price point is $19 a piece, which is a bit higher than MAC, but with all of the sales and coupon codes you can constantly find on Instagram, it really isn't too bad.

I swatched all of the ones that I purchased. You can get a feel of the finish and how they look on a medium brown skin tone. Hope you enjoyed my little review!

"Make em Jump" Jumper

Hello Sexy Sirens!

I am just getting home from roller skating with my son! It has been so many years since I went skating! I remember back when I was in middle school on up to high school, we used to get together at Crystal Palace Skating Rink every weekend! Everbody who was anybody would be in that place! Today when I put on those skates again, for the first time in years, it felt as if I had never stopped skating! I enjoyed myself so much and most of all, I enjoyed teaching my son how to skate! It's like something that you pass on to your kids! It always makes me excited when I have the opportunity to teach him something new! He had such a wonderful time!

I wanted to share my outfit details from last night, when I went to the movies with my sister. Some of you asked where I got my outfit, so I'd like to share the deets below!

Comfortable Classics

Hello Sexy Sirens,

Today I am going on a thrift hunt because my very good friend tagged me in a "Thrift Shop Challenge". The goal is to emulate a celebrity's style whom the person who tagged you must choose. For me, she chose Kate Middleton, but since I could not find affordable suits, blazers, and petticoats, I decided to change my person to The Queen of Fashion....Rihanna!!! Besides Kim Kardashian, Rihanna is my fashion idol! I really admire that she is daring and could not give a flying f%&$ about what anyone else thinks! She is a risk taker, like myself. So I am SUPER EXCITED to do this challenge. I am going to go all out and do Riri proud!

For my style today, I decided to go comfortable, simple, and chic in my boyfriend jeans! I absolutely love the person that invented boyfriend jeans! Thank you! They are soooo comfortable and you can dress them up or down.

How to Simplify your Wardrobe

Hello Sexy Sirens!

Winter is upon us! Here in Louisiana, it is beginning to show signs of the cold months ahead! So I thought this post should feature a look that represents that transition. When it's cold in the mornings and warmer in the evening, you might want to go for a look like this.

The dress is from MakeMeChic and it's giving me Kerry Washington (not Olivia Pope) but real life vibes! She loves cute dresses with unique patterns and prints! Classy and sophisticated at the same time! The shades I forgot were up there! LOL!

I also want to address what to do if you want to simplify your wardrobe. In the past, I was all about colorful prints and patterns until last year when Kim Kardashian or (Kanye actually started dressing her) changed the game!  Kimye showed us what neutral colors can really do for your wardrobe! It shows a level of elite sophistication, grown woman ish!

Hello Sexy Sirens!

Yesterday I finally had a chance to get out of the house to go to my son's Honor Roll Assembly!! I am so proud of him for making the A/B Honor Roll and getting perfect conduct! So I decided to get a little dressed up and make a whole day out of it! I got dressed and attended the assembly early in the day and then after I decided to go downtown.

I am very much a homebody and it takes a LOT to get me out of the house, but with the beautiful weather we are having, I really didn't have to be convinced. I just wanted to share my outfit for that day with you guys. I was so undecided on which shoes to wear with the outfit, so I brought both to show you! I got the shoes below from

Back On My Lightening Regimen

Hello Sexy Sirens,

I am getting started again on my skin lightening regimen. I had taken a 5 month break from using lightening products. I think that your body needs a break sometimes or else it gets too used to the active ingredients and stops responding. During my break, I would say I have re-darkened about 2-3 shades. Summer sun was no joke and I was not always applying my sunscreen like I should have.

Last month (September), I did a full body peel with Yellow Peeling Oil. Against my own recommendations...I can't believe I decided to do this peel again!!! Last time I did it, I absolutely hated the process and it peeled well in some places, in other places my skin was left very uneven!! Needless to say, I was not happy with it the first time! Somehow I thought this time would be different, and it actually turned out worse!

ColourPop Cosmetics Eyeshadow!!!

Hello Sexy Sirens!

I wanted to finally share with you all my new eyeshadow obsession that is ColourPop Cosmetics! Now, I have been using these for quite some time, I purchased back in August I believe... Anyhow, I love the super high intensity color payoff and the super affordable price!

These shadows go for only $5 on their website ( , these little air whipped , iridescent, pots of joy are purely ethereal !!!!
This one is called "Too Shy"  applied dry

This one is "Game Face" , applied wet.

So you see the difference between how they translate , dry or wet! The texture of these "Super Shock" eyeshadows are a creamy whipped texture, even before you wet them! I am in LOVE with these and I plan to collect them all!
This one is "Fizz" applied dry

A lot of them have glitter in the formula. There are a few more "satin" formulas without glitter but with a little soft sheen, like my favorite colors below!
This one is "Desert" applied wet

"Bandit" applied go to "STAPLE" transition color!!!

Now, I'm not going to swatch my whole collection right now, but if you follow my Instagram (@CelebritySiren) I will definitely be using more of these in my daily looks!

Here is a look I created using only ColourPop Cosmetics "Super Shock" eyeshadows!

I hope you have enjoyed this post and found it fun and informative! Please be sure to check out my YouTube!, a tutorial on this look will be posted shortly!  Check out

Until next time, Sexy Sirens ...Peace Out💋✌️

Adore Me Lingerie

Hello Sexy Sirens,

A few weeks ago I was contacted by a company about doing some promotions for their line! is a very unique company that offers monthly lingerie boxes for a low price! You can sign up for "pay as you go", which requires no commitment or you can sign-up for their VIP program which comes with tons of perks, that we will get to in a second!  So I ordered the "Hilda Bustier Set" and the "Danielle" robe and I was very excited to receive them! The quality of the merchandise is outstanding and comparable to Victoria's Secret at half the price! For my two items , the price was $99 , which would be one bustier from the other brand! Here are some professional shots we did to show off the pieces!
"Hilda" is sold out I believe but, this one is similar

This is the "Danielle" robe with lace at the sleeves!

I am really in love with this company so much that I have decided to join the VIP Membership program! With this program there are many perks!

I screen shot my current shopping cart! So with the VIP Membership, it brought my total for this order down to $4.95!!!!

With the "pay as you go", shipping is still free but you just pay for the price of the set, which is still a great price, compared to other brands!!!

So it's a win WIN situation! You get to be sexy all year around cause with the VIP Program every 6th set you purchase is FREE!!!

They also have way more than just lingerie! Active wear, corsets, swimsuits, and Halloween Costumes!!! It's the perfect time to check them out ladies!!! What are you going to be for Halloween?

Thanks for reading , Sexy Sirens....Peace out!

"Dress Your Face" Tamanna Palette Review

Hello Sexy Sirens!

It's been a while since I have written a blog post. I want to show you some of the new items I've been trying out lately! So I was so excited that Anastasia Beverly Hills decided to do collaborations with a few of the uber talented MUAs!  I am collecting each one of the palettes that they have released, so far I have the Amrezy and The "Tamanna Palette" has been my most recent conquest. I thought it was really important to show how well these amazing jewel tones come across on deeper skin tones. I did swatch each of the colors , this is without using any base or any wetness on the brush...just straight highly pigmented powder baby!
I also like the fact that the palette comes with "Get the Look" cards, so people can easily create stunning looks! They show correct shadow placements to get an effortlessly elegant look! I used a few of the cards to create the looks below!

This is the first look I created using the cards as a guide;

Here is the second look I created using the cards;

I really am a FAN of everything from the Anastasia Beverly Hills line, Norvina and her mom really know their stuff and I appreciate all of the hard work they put in! The shadows along with all of their other products I have used are A1 quality!

While I was out shopping for makeup goodies, I also decided to pick up the Becca Illuminating Powder in "Opal" , I had been hearing a lot about how it's comparable with other notable highlighters like Estée Lauder's "Heatwave" I had to get my hands on it! I am happy to say, it lives up to all of the hype! Now, it is one of my staple highlighters right along with my Gerard Cosmetics Illuminating BB Cream!

That's all for this haul folks! Please subscribe to this blog to keep getting updates! Also check me out on my Instagram!!! @CelebritySiren

Until next time.... Sexy Sirens, Peace out!

The Black Dahila Makeup Look + Fall Plaid #2

Hello Sexy Sirens,

I was going to get out and go take these photos someplace creative and interesting, but brick wall will This morning when I awoke to take Sean'Michael to school, it was very cool out! Maybe in the low 50s .You can already tell that it's Fall! So I decided to do a look that would be warm and cozy!  Then later that day, it ended up getting HOT, go figure!

I also did a makeup look that I call "The Black Dahlia" because it's dark, mysterious, and even murderous... I killed this look!

But not to make light of the underlying story,  The mystery of "The Black Dahlia" is one of the most famous Hollywood cold murder cases. Read more about it here;

I'm obsessed with Old Hollywood and things that happened back then intrigue and mystify me. So I have a fascination for all things "Old Hollywood" therefore , that is what made me think of this morbid tale. And because this look is so dark.

When my son got home from school and saw me he said "Mommy you look evil" , I said "Like a Vampire?" , he said "yeah!" Goal achieved! Yay!

So anyway, I want to share this look with you and tell you everything I used below!
On my eyes and face:
The Amrezy Palette , which is not being sold anymore :( , I used the colors " Caramel" for my crease transition, "Glisten" on the ball of my eyes and blended out, "LDB" on my outer corners.

On my face I contoured only with the contour kit powders. This time, I uses several different colors to sculpt my face! It came out sooooo well that I am going to make a video on how to do it for my YouTube channel! I feel like you have to use several different colors for contouring so that you can get a true gradient effect.
So on my lips is
"Black Velvet" Velvetine liquid matte lip stain

This has staying POWER! I eat and drink and it does not even rub off on my cup! It's amazing and truly matte!

For my ensemble today; like I said earlier...I wanted a look for Fall and the cool weather, I also wanted to do Plaid since it's in for Fall!
This photo from the back looks dumb , but what tha hell....

Blouse: Forever 21
Blazer: unknown
Skirt: Sirens of Hollywood
Boots: Call it Spring
Bag: B. Makowsky

Thanks for reading! Sexy Sirens, Peace Out!
