Highlighter Craze!!!

Hey Sexy Sirens!!!

I have a major obsession with Highlighters! They make the whole look! When you have a great highlighter, it appears as if your skin radiates a perfect glow that only celebrities don! You can have the look perfected too, no matter what skin tone you have! Here are a few of my absolute favorite highlighters that are affordable and NOT limited editions. (Because I HATE when someone brags about a Limited Edition highlighter knowing damn well I can't get my hands on it for under a million bucks!)

First up is the Urban Decay Naked Baked Illuminated in "Luminous" , I bought this one recently at Sephora for about $30. This highlighter gives off tons of glitter and that's ok if that is the look you are going for. It is a high definition, high velocity, silvery glitter explosion! It's great for a night out with the girls, but I wouldn't recommend it for a daily look. This is perfect for when you want a little drama or for photo shoots and special occasions. Urban Decay Naked Illuminated

Next is a few of my favorites from the brand Becca. A lot of people don't know about this brand even though they have been around for years, but their products are amazing! I suppose they are more popular in other countries than in the US. I have know about them for at least 5 years. I use their foundations and they are awesome, so when I heard about their Opal powder, I had to get my hands on it! I quickly fell in love and then a few months ago they released the Champagne Gold Shimmering Skin Perfector.  Both of these are pure highlighter Heaven!
(Above) is the Opal powder, gives a beautiful light golden sheen. It looks very natural on and not overdone. It does not give a glitter texture, rather a satin finish. They are very heavily pigmented, so a little goes a long way. You can wet the brush with MAC FIX+ to get an even more luminous glow! Becca Opal Powder
(Above) Champagne Gold Shimmering Skin Perfector. Gives a 24K Gold shimmering satin finish to the skin. This is a deeper golden tone than the Opal powder and great for darker skin tones! It looks very natural and will give you an effortless radiance.  Both of these highlighters are long lasting for a beautiful glow all day! Becca Champagne Gold
(Above) featured here is the Too Faced Candlelight translucent face powder. One of my absolute favorites for a soft glow. This is a very light, almost not immediately noticeable glow powder. On really deep chocolate skin tones it may look ashy because it is actually translucent powder, so I recommend it only for medium to light tones. The cool thing about this powder is that it first goes on translucent looking and as you rub it and heat it up on the skin, it turns golden! On the photo above, I applied it right in that corner of my hand between thumb and pointer finger, and you may be able to see a soft golden glow in that area. That is the effect you can expect on medium brown skin. On lighter tones, it may be even more golden. It really depends on your skin tone which shade of gold will come through, and that is what I believe makes it unique and a must have!Too Faced Candlelight Powder
Next is MAC "Global Glow" , it reminds me of Becca Opal Powder , except it has a tiny bit of larger pigments in it. So the texture is a bit different. It is not as finely ground of a powder as the Becca Opal Powder. So the finish would be a more pigmented mineralized finish. I love this powder and MAC always gets it right! MAC Global Glow Powder
Last but certainly not least!!! Is my all time favorite! Gerard Cosmetics BB+ Illumination Cream highlighter and BB Cream. The best part about this creamy golden soufflé is that you can mix it into whichever foundation you use for an all over radiance on your skin without looking gold like OSCAR in the face! Lol it looks completely natural and beautiful as if your skin is perfect and even! You can also apply it after you apply your foundation to certain areas like the cheekbones, nose bridge, chin, and forehead... For a touch of glamour to your look!  BB+ Illumination Cream

That concludes my affordable highlighter review! Next I will feature a few high end highlighters for the next review! So no matter your preference, we've got you!

    1. Hello, depending on what skin tone you are, if you are a medium brown, i highly recommend the Makeup Forever Pro Sculpting Duo in the darker shade "02". I know for a fact Amrezy uses the Estee Lauder Heatwave and that is very similar.
